He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Herndon and Josie Herndon; and his siblings, David Herndon and Evelyn Covington. He is survived by: his wife Glenda; his sons, Michael (Leigh) of Mobile, Ala. and Fred (Tina) of Quitman; his grandchildren, Caroline Herndon, Sallie Herndon and Cameron Skipper; his brother Fred Herndon of Palm Coast, Fla.; and his sisters-in-law, Beverly Lamon of Dixie and Sandra McBride of Quitman. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
