He was predeceased by: his father Clifford Burton (Bud); and his father-in-law Sonny Rountree. He is survived by: his wife Libby Rountree Burton; his son Cliff Burton; his mother Hattie Jean Burton; his sister Beth of Barney; his brother-in-law Millard Hurst of Barney; his mother-in-law Sandra R. Sumner; and his siblings-in-law, Ken of Lenox and Kaye Rountree of Lenox. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
