He was predeceased by: his wife Ruth Ann Miley Edmondson; his daughter Donna Michelle Edmondson; his parents, William Jackson Edmondson (Bill Jack) and Anna Mae Edmondson; and his siblings, William Jackson (Junior), James Haskell (Hack), Remer Casrell Edmondson, Nona Mae Johnson (Charles), Katherine George (Jimmy) and Geraldine Hendricks.
He is survived by: his children, Bobby Ray Edmondson, Jr. (Janet), Gregory Lamar Edmondson (Tammy) and Theresa Edmondson Gordy; his siblings-in-law, Terry Hendricks and Jane Edmondson; his grandchildren, Alan Hunt, Patrick Willaford (Jennifer), Jacob Gordy and Joanne Vaughns (Clint); and his great grandchildren, Taya Vaughns, Haylie Poore, Morgan Bugbee and William "Scoot" Poore III. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
