He is survived by: his wife Hazel Bennett Ellis; his sons, Timothy Bennett of Echols County, Michael Henderson (Alicia) of Echols County, Ethan Henderson of Echols County and David Amerson of Pitts, Georgia.; his sister Caroline Gritz (Jeff) of Jennings, Florida.; his niece Carolee Tucker; and his great-nephews, Brandon and Clyde. He is also survived by nephews, and cousins.
