It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maggie Elizabeth Cook (Barnesville, Georgia), who passed away on March 13, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Maggie Elizabeth shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Maggie Elizabeth farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Luther Henson Sr. and Gladys Odell Bennett Henson; her husband Emmett Benjamin Cook, Sr.; and her brother Larry Henson. She is survived by: her children, Betty Jo Pope (Daryl), Pam Cook and Ben Cook (Debee); and her brother John Henson (JoAnn). She is also survived by seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Shiloh Baptist Church (1530 US Hwy 41, Barnesville, GA 30204). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
