She was predeceased by: her parents, Edd Preston Massengale and Lucille Cato Massengale; her husbands, Melvin G. Blount, K. Thaxton and R. T. Evans; and her siblings, James Massengale, Evelyn Bramlett, Mary Tidwell, Christine Kee, Saleta Marcus, Doris Connell, Richard Massengale, Hiram Massengale, Elaine Brown and Eula Fowler.
She is survived by: her children, Wesley Michael Blount (Deborah) of Thomaston, Judith Leah Nicholson (Darrell) of Barnesville and Timothy Gaines Blount (Dawn Brown) of Barnesville; and her sister Trisha Stephens of Griffin. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
