He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Blackwell and Loneva Blackwell; and his son Daniel Ramey. He is survived by: his wife Janice Blackwell of Ball Ground; his children, Tiffany Blackwell (Andrew Hulsey) of Talking Rock, Toni Ashley Smith (Eddie Olaughlin) of Blue Ridge, Shannon Ramey of Marble Hill, Travis Ramey (Katrina Tilley) of Marble Hill and Matthew Blackwell (Jessica) of Adairsville; his brother Mark; his sister-in-law Pamela Blackwell; and his sisters, Cindy Holden, Leisa Ramey, Lynn (Kenny Chumley), Christy Blackwell and Stephany (John Castleberry). He is also survived by 18 grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM, on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM and on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Roper Funeral Home and Crematory (206 Holly St, Jasper, GA 30143). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Roper Funeral Home Chapel (206 Holly St, Jasper, GA 30143). A burial was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at the Lake Forest Memorial Park (280 Camp Rd, Jasper, GA 30143).
