He was predeceased by: his wife Johnnie Sue Lathem; his parents, Turner Lathem and Imogene Lathem; and his brother Larry Lathem. He is survived by: his children, Angie Thompson and David Lathem (Julie); his grandchildren, Jordan Thompson (Ashley), Trey Dye, Bradley Dye and Carter Coryell; his great grandchildren, Reese Thompson, Sophia Thompson and Mackenzie Thompson; and his siblings, Janice Whitfield (Bob), Jerry Lathem, Ricky Lathem (Heidi), Rhonda Lathem and Linda Medley. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 13th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM at the Sosebee Funeral Home (191 Jarvis St, Canton, GA 30114). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 14th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
