He was predeceased by: his parents, Bud Hamby and Opal Hamby; and his brother Wayne Hamby. He is survived by: his wife Vickie Hamby; his children, Valerie Hamby, Raymond Hamby (Shunta), Troy Hamby and Chris Hamby; his grandchildren, Jayden, Christopher, Jackson, Kailyn, Abby and Liam; his sisters, Mary Ellen Richards, Hilda Greenway and Myra McCall; and his close friends, Steve Mathis and Alan Mathis. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, October 27th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Sosebee Funeral Home (191 Jarvis St, Canton, GA 30114). A funeral service was held on Sunday, October 27th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Georgia National Cemetery (1080 Scott Hudgens Dr, Canton, GA 30114).
