He was predeceased by: his parents, Garnett Simmons and Ina Eller Simmons; his daughter Rhonda Simmons Brewer; his granddaughter Kimberly Brewer; and his siblings, Coy Simmons, Clyde Simmons, Carol Simmons, Cozette Eller and Reba Zimmerman.
He is survived by: his wife Ruby Mae Armour Simmons; his daughter Rebecca; his sons-in-law, Brian Mason and Rev. Ed Brewer; his grandsons, Adam Brewer and Colby Mason; his great grandchildren, Natalie Brewer, Caleb Brewer and Brennan Brewer; his brother Roy; and his sister-in-law Edith Simmons. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, other relatives, & friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, December 21st 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral Home (175 VFW Rd, Cornelia, GA 30531). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Chapel (175 VFW Rd, Cornelia, GA 30531).
