We are sad to announce that on July 23, 2022, at the age of 95, Martha Lucille Powell of Baldwin, Georgia, born in Blairsville, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Rice and Emily Rose Souther Rice; her husband Milton Powell; her daughter Jean Hudson; her grandson Alex Norton; and her siblings, Lorraine Goss, J. W. Rice and Lee Rice.
She is survived by: her daughters, Pat (Ronnie Parham), Peggy (Rick Powers) and Mary (Randall Norton); her son-in-law Bill Hudson (Nancy); her grandchildren, Alice Gunter (Grant) and Jay Norton; her great grandchildren, Gracie and Judson Gunter; her brother Ray; and her sisters-in-law, Maxine Rice and Ovalene Rice.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mrs. Powell's memory to the Northeast Georgia Food Bank, 861 Newton Bridge Rd, Athens, GA 30607 Arrangements have been entrusted to the Whitfield Funeral Homes & Crematory, North Chapel at 245 Central Avenue, Demorest, Georgia 30535.
