She was predeceased by: her parents, Handley Smallwood and Cora Fowler Smallwood; her husband Dwayne Simmons; and her siblings, James Smallwood, Bob Smallwood, Johnny Smallwood, Leonard Knight, Junior Kirkland, Jennie Alred, Betty Nix, Sarah Grimes and Mary Ann Williams.
She is survived by: her sons, Jeff (Sosebee) and Christopher Simmons of Mt. Airy; her grandchildren, Brittany Sosebee, Blake Sosebee, Lauren Cruz, Dillon McCall and Brandon McCall; and her siblings, Peggy Ware of Tignall, Marie Willingham of LaGrange and Charles Smallwood of LaGrange. She is also survived by 5 great grandchildren.
