She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Joe Whitfield and May Whitfield; her husband Lilburn Newsome; her daughter Theresa; her son-in-law Shawn Buckley; her daughter Samantha Smith; her grandchildren, Ryan Smith (Heather Smith), Kristin Smith and Christopher Buckley; and her great grandchildren, Houston Kytle and Taten Smith. She was also cherished by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
