He was predeceased by: his parents, Horace Erskine Brooks, Sr. and Georgia Miller Brooks; and his son Bonny L. Brooks. He is survived by: his wife Geneva Brown Brooks; his children, Glenda Kohlhagen (Glen) and Ronny Brooks of Milledgeville; his daughter-in-law Linda Walker Brooks; his grandchildren, Adrienne Brooks (Joe Smith) of Conyers, Micah Walker Brooks (Tiffany) of Everett, Kacey O'Connor (Niall) of Denver, Jessica Shook (Mark) of Sylvester, GA, Jason Kohlhagen (Lisa) of Bel and Kimberly Kohlhagen of Warner Robins, GA; and his sister Jane Silva of Milledgeville. He is also survived by 8 great grandchildren.
