She was predeceased by: her parents, John Jesse and WIllie Smith Payne; her son Marty John Reems; her siblings, Douglas McArthur Payne and Mary Evelyn Norton; and her nephew Michael Andrew Norton.
She is survived by: her daughter Amy Reems Harkness; her son-in-law Bruce Harkness of Demorest; her grandchildren, Jessica Umberhandt of Cornelia, MaKayla Steele of Demorest and Bryson Moss of Demorest; her great grandchildren, McKinley and Lennox; her niece Lisa Norton Parr of Clarkesville; and her nephew Dustin Payne of Hollingsworth.
