He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Vinson Smith, Sr. and Ella Elizabeth Chambers Smith. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Smith of Milledgeville; his daughters, Jeanene Hadley (Vance) of Port St, Jennifer Fenwick of Milledgeville and Dana Tudor (Robbie) of Augusta; and his brother Phil Smith of Ohio. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren.
