He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Ben and Dollie Crisp Slaton; his wife Linda Loudermilk Slaton; his sons, Andrew "Andy" Slaton and Clinton Loudermilk; and his sisters, Barbara Jean Bowman, Esther Brady and Faye Simmons.
He is survived by: his daughters, Angela Kay Taylor (Chris) of Baldwin, Amy Leigh Watson (David) of Mt. Airy and Michelle Loudermilk Farmer (Dusty) of Mt. Airy; his grandchildren, Drew Cantrell, Alex Cantrell, Ben Slaton, Dalton Watson, Kayleigh Watson, Taylar Medders and Emilee Sullens; his great grandchildren, Tucker Hill, Ella Hill and Westen Cantrell; his brother Sam; his sister-in-law Judy Slaton of Hiawassee; and his sister Lynn Slaton Tench of Alto. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
