He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Steele Malone, Sr. and Kittie Burford Malone; his former wife Peggy Ponder; his wife Kathleen Thomasson Mayfield; his sister Rebecca B. Malone; his son William Curtis Malone; and his sons-in-law, Thomas Lanier Lane and Ronald Scherdin.
He is survived by: his brother William B. Malone (Lajunta) of Camden, AL; his children, Dianne M. Lane of Bainbridge, GA and Thomas S. Malone, III (Alice) of Havana, FL; his daughter-in-law Debra S. Malone of McDonough, GA; his stepchildren, Kay M. Scherdin of Havana, FL and William W. Mayfield (Genia) of Tallahassee, FL.; and his grandchildren, John S. Smith (Danielle) of Thomasville, GA, Dianne L. Stevenson (Jeremy) of Plainfield, IN, Calista A. Malone of Greensboro, NC, Williams C. Malone, Jr. (Rebekah) of Toledo, OH, Lindsay M. Llambes (Gavin) of McDonough, GA, Lisa S. Crawford (Matt) of Quincy, FL and Kathleen L. Scherdin of Tallahassee, FL. He is also survived by great-grandchildren.
