It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thomas Jackson Gay (Bainbridge, Georgia), born in Tifton, Georgia, who passed away on May 4, 2020, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Jackson Gay and Mattie Ethel Alexander Gay; his former wife Marjorie Harrison Gay; and his siblings, Hazel Carlton, Virginia Love, Cecil Lee Gay and Jackie Earl Gay.
He is survived by: his wife Doris Spears Gay of Attapulgus; his children, Thomas Earl Gay (Mari) of Cleburne and Larry Dale Gay (Rhonda) of Bainbridge, Georgia; his brother Bobby Lee Gay (Sue Ann) of Bradenton, Florida; and his grandchildren, Shannun Marie Gay Corbin of Cleburne, Tara Leigh Gay Meredith (John) of Thomasville and Tawna Nia Gay Saint. He is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.
