With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sara Barber Bellflower (Bainbridge, Georgia), who passed away on May 16, 2020 at the age of 99. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Bennett Barber and Vada Nichols Barber; her husband Wilford; her daughter Mary Josey; and her siblings, Mildred Sapp, Leonard Barber, Evans Barber, Jane Spooner, Irene Spooner, Nelson Barber, Adel Tharpe and Nell Nix.
She is survived by: her children, Bellflower, Carolyn Adkins of Fountain, FL, Sarah, James Glass of Greenville, FL, Vesper, Quinton Miller of Madison, AL, Linda and Mike Knight of Bainbridge, GA; her siblings, William, Virgie Barber of Brinson, GA, Juanita and Dennis Talbert of Middletown, VA; and her grandchildren, Maria, Josh, Jody, Jeff, Jake, Jock, Darin, Ray, Kay, Lamar, Sharon, Buddy, Karen, William, Steven, Christopher and Kristen.
Due to the ongoing concerns regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, a private graveside funeral service will be held at Mt. Gilead Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. David Grubbs officiating.
