He was predeceased by: his parents, George Leonard Porter and Hazel Clapper Porter. He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Porter of Bainbridge; his son Steven Michael Porter (Katie Waddell Porter) of Cumming, Georgia; his grandchildren, William Michael Porter, Bailey Grace Porter and Hunter Leighton Porter of Cumming; his nieces, Pamela Bussey, Patti Hill, Jacqueline Hall (Doug) and Kitty Craft (Paul); his nephew Ben Cochran; and his cousins, Bruce Clapper (Jerry), Cathy Clapper Stewart (Ray) and Kim Clapper Harrison (Michael Moore).
