She was predeceased by: her husband William W. Griffis; her children, Larry Simpson, Coy Simpson and Deffie Simpson Drexler; and her granddaughter Christy Simpson.
She is survived by: her daughters, Kathy Simpson Pisani of Bainbridge and Nora Simpson Sirmons of Pensacola. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 9 great-great-grandchildren.
