He was predeceased by: his father Dennis M. Eakin. He is survived by: his mother Sheliah K. Eakin of Bainbridge, GA; his daughter Maelee Rayne Eakin of Bainbridge, GA; his sisters, Kimberly Eakin of Bainbridge, GA, April Shockley of Bainbridge, GA, Patty McConnell (Joel) of Bainbridge, GA and Amy Helms (Chris) of Elberton, GA; his grandmother Patricia Kincaid of Bainbridge, GA; and his nieces and nephews, Braeden Michael, Layken, Summer, Luke, Ariel and Logan. He is also survived by the one siblings share and Michael's two best friends were his sisters.

Due to the ongoing concerns regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, those attending are asked to maintain the recommended safe social distancing of six feet and/or wear protective masks in accordance with the State of Georgia guidelines.
