She was predeceased by: her parents, Sylvester King and Edna Singletary King; her husband Lester Mitchell; and her siblings, Charlie King, Robert King, Benjamin King and Elizabeth King Walker.

She is survived by: her children, Sarah Vanessa Mitchell of McDonough, Georgia, Ester Michelle Mitchell of McDonough, Georgia and Chester King (Linda) of Lithonia, Georgia.; her sister Irelene Robinson Williams (Andrew) of Riviera Beach, Florida.; and her granddaughter Autumn King of Atlanta, Georgia.. She is also survived by nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and spiritual friends.
