She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Cuthbert Appleton Blair and Elthia Hornsby Blair; her husband Robert Arthur "Bob" Gabel; her children, Lorrie Monahan (Thomas "Tom" Monahan) of Albany, GA, Susan Daniels (Harold Daniels) of Gainsville, GA, Virginia "Ginny" Huggins of Leesburg, GA, Arthur Gabel (Mark Di Phillipo) of Springfield, VA, Robert Gabel of Fort Lauderdale, FL and Sharon Hilton (Jeff Hilton) of Sharpsburg, GA.; her grandchildren, Thomas Monahan (Kim), Michael Monahan, Elizabeth Rushing (Maurice), Clayton Hester (Allison), Taylor Daniels (Nikki), Julie Daniels, Matthew Huggins (Tara), Jennifer Holbrook (Chase), Ashley Huggins and Claire Hilton; and her great grandchildren, Debbie, Will, Henley, Banks, Holland and Harriet. She was also cherished by her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Porterfield Memorial United Methodist Church or to the American Heart Association.
