He was predeceased by: his former wife Missionary Kattie May Peterson; his parents, Felix Peterson and Ruth Peterson; his daughter Lori Peterson; and his siblings, Bytha Mae Jones, Lillie Peterson, Sarah Harvey, Rosie Fountain and Nathan Peterson.
He is survived by: his spouses, Kattie May Peterson and Ruby Douglas Peterson of Bainbridge, GA; his sons, Willie James Peterson (Kathryn), Michael James Peterson (Cheryl Norton) of Atlanta, GA, Simon Peterson (Mary) of Pennsylvania, PA, Felix Peterson of Maryland, Tommy Douglas, Jr. of Bainbridge, GA and Bernard Douglas of Climax, GA; his grandsons, Jason A. Peterson of Maryland and Dominic Douglas of Buffalos, NY; his daughters, Barbara A. Peterson, Wendy Peterson, Doreen Peterson of Atlanta, GA, Sandra Nichols (Wilfred) of Climax, GA and Shirley Douglas of Bainbridge, GA; his granddaughter Jennifer Henderson of Tennessee; his brother Airfonzie Peterson, Sr. of Bainbridge, GA; his sister-in-law Geraldine Peterson of Bainbridge, GA; and his granddaughter Angel Robinson of Cairo, GA. He is also survived by Grandchildren, (48) great-grandchildren, host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
