He was predeceased by: his parents, James Perry Cook and Mavis Ann Eidson Cook. He is survived by: his son James Peter Cook, Jr. (Ashley) of Preston, Mississippi; his siblings, Delila Reynolds (Flint) of Bainbridge, Perry Cook of Whigham, Mechille Cook of Bainbridge and Dale Cook (Lisa) of Eldorendo, Georgia; his grandchildren, Jayden, Braylie and Lily Cook of Preston, Mississippi; and his stepmother Joy Cook of Bainbridge. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
