He was predeceased by: his wife Lynette Spooner. He is survived by: his parents, Rose Lillian Spooner Brown and Robert Dee Brown; his children, James "Bubba" Spooner, Jr. of Bainbridge, Shannon Spooner (Karyn) of Faceville, Cathy Spooner and Krista Jones; and his grandchildren, Justin, Katie, Garrett, Leigh, Jordan, Jesse, Erin, Masen, Hannah and Luke.
