It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Irma Johnson Barber (Bainbridge, Georgia), who passed away on March 16, 2021, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Irma Johnson Barber to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Morgan Johnson and Susie Bell Howell Johnson; her husband William Gordon Barber; her daughter Sharon Barber Ogburn; and her brothers, Wayne Johnson, Leland Johnson, Alvin "Turkey" Johnson and Elvis.
She is survived by: her children, Mark Barber of Faceville, Glennie Barber Cox (Michael) of Faceville, Vera Barber of Faceville, Phillip Pope of Faceville and Janie Barber Kelley (Al) of Bainbridge; her sister-in-law Annie Mae Rolt; and her grandchildren, Emily, Raymond, Joseph, Rosemary, Daryle, Rebekah, Jay, Jared, Kristin, Joshua, Laura, Micah, Trevor, Jenna, Will and Hope. She is also survived by her fifteen great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Due to the ongoing concerns regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, those attending are asked to maintain the recommended safe social distancing of six feet and/or wear protective masks in accordance with the State of Georgia guidelines.
