She was predeceased by: her parents, Oneal Carol Brown and Mildred Louise Brown; her husband Michael Franklin Barrett; and her siblings, Cotton Brown and Karen Dunn.
She is survived by: her children, Sherry Whitaker, Tina Whitaker, Anthony Whitaker (Robin), Heather Whitaker and Jenny Whitaker (Greg); and her sisters, DeRhonda Wages and Bonita Berry. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
