He was predeceased by: his parents, D. W. Powell and Rossie Maude Phillips Rentz; and his siblings, Laverne, Robert Lee and Hubert.
He is survived by: his children, Teresa Hufstetler (Steve), Kathy Lasseter (Lynn) and Michael Powell (Cindy); and his sister Anne Goodson (Bernard). He is also survived by 6 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren.
