He was predeceased by: his former wife Alice Eloise Connell (King); his parents, Grady Connell and Rucia Connell; his brothers, James Connell and Jack Connell; his sons-in-law, T. Harley McGatha, Sr. and William Meisenheimer; and his stepson-in-law Dave Pierce.
He is survived by: his wife Martha Connell (Giles); his children, Alecia McGatha (Harley), Randy Connell (Sarah), Debbie Bowman (Mike) and Angie Meisenheimer (Marvin Walters); his stepchildren, Ricky Giles (Brenda) and Sharon Pierce (Dave); and his brother Deese Connell. He is also survived by several grandchildren; step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and step-great-grandchildren.
