He was predeceased by: his father J. B. Williams; and his brother Johnny Williams. He is survived by: his mother Abbie Ree Gilbert Williams of Bainbridge; his wife Myra Cowart Williams of Bainbridge; his children, Michelle McMullen (Brett Sutton) of Thomasville, Georgia, Jennifer Williams (Sean Shrader) of Tallahassee, John David Williams of Bainbridge and Charlotte Hall (Mike) of Raleigh; his siblings, Gloria Hines, Rhonda Kendrick (David) and Paul Williams; his grandchildren, Juliette Carlsson (Tomas), Lauren McMullen and Wesley Hall; and his nieces and nephews, Shannon Reagan (George), Ben Hines (Jamie), Bowen Kendrick (Kaylee) and Jackson Kendrick (Laura Lee).
