He was predeceased by: his parents, Ottice Lee Cooper and Catherine Elizabeth Smith Cooper; and his brother Charles Cooper. He is survived by: his sons, Nickolas Cooper (Anglett) of Bainbridge and Michael Thomas (Sandi) of Raleigh; and his siblings, Leonard Cooper (Marion) of Indio, Wade Cooper of Orlando and Pauline Cooper of Charleston.
Due to ongoing concerns regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, a memorial service will be held later.
