She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Levi Nix and Verena Nix; her spouse Owen W. Elkins; her adoptive daughter Harriet Sue Griffin; her sons, Owen Elkins, Jr. and Randall Elkins (Charlotte); and her adoptive daughter Charlotte Elkins. She was also cherished by her three granddaughters, one grandson and three great-grandchildren.
