It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edna Weems Powell (Bainbridge, Georgia), who passed away on June 3, 2018, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her son Michael Powell; and her siblings, Winston Weems, Jack Weems, Bobbie Nell Coates and Myrtice Preston.
She is survived by: her children, Office Drive of Development and Rocky Point Drive; her parents, James S. and Alma Beverett Weems; her spouse Thomas Franklin Powell, Sr.; her children, Patricia Powell DeThomas (Art) of Tallahassee, FL, Jennifer Powell Chandler (Wayne) of Havana, FL, Rhonda Fran Powell Conners (Kevin) of Bainbridge, GA and Thomas Franklin "Dooly" Powell, Jr.; her wife Susan of Brinson, GA; and her aunt Mary Forehand of Havana, FL. She is also survived by her four grandchildren; and her ten great-grandchildren.
