He was predeceased by: his grandfather Erik Colwell; and his great-grandparents, Kathy Colwell, Laura Belle Gunn, Randall Busby, George Akridge, Leila Belle Busby and Edgar Cross.

He is survived by: his parents, Summer Colwell and Aris Chason of Colquitt, Georgia.; his grandparents, Alisha Colwell of Colquitt, Janice Chason of Whigham and Carl "Kent" Chason of Cairo; his great-grandparent Glenn Colwell of Colquitt; and his grandmother Wylene Warren of Colquitt. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncle, and cousins.
