It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bonnie Prestine Sowa of Bainbridge, Georgia, who passed away on October 16, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Preston Copeland and Bonceil Harrell Copeland; her husband Henry Joseph Sowa; her siblings, Alwayne Copeland Finleyson and Victor Harrell Copeland; and her brothers-in-law, Cecil H. Ramsey, Jr. and Billy Finleyson.
She is survived by: her daughter Sonia Sowa; her siblings, Mary Copeland Ramsey, George Earl Copeland and Deborah Copeland Faulkner (Rex); and her close friends, Peggy Turknett Armintrout and Angela Lane Brown. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
