With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Betty Jane Rentz (Bainbridge, Georgia), born in Newton, Georgia, who passed away on June 29, 2020 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Grady Phillips and Lizzie Pearl Musgrove Phillips; her husband Talmadge "Sonny" Rentz; her sister Nora Hunsberger; and her granddaughter Courtney Singletary.
She is survived by: her children, Rhonda (Donnie Murphy), Phillip (Anna Rentz), Lisa (Wayne Merritt) and Tommy Edmonds of Donalsonville, GA; her siblings, Lawrence Phillips of Jonesboro, GA and Rebecca Chason of Climax, GA; her grandchildren, Lee (Stephanie), Adam (Amanda), Lucas, Ryan (Taylor), Briana (Matt) and Erik (Alexis); and her great grandchildren, Austin, Topanga, Adda Lynn, Zoey, Riggs, Jasemine, Caleb, Jaxon, Watson, Erika, Ridge, Griffin, Merritt and Layla.
Due to the ongoing concerns regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, a private funeral service will be held Friday at Ivey Funeral Home with Rev. Greg Ford officiating.
