He is survived by: his parents, Thomas Alvin Tharp and Adele Barber Tharp; his wife Betty Burk Tharp of Bainbridge, GA; his children, Danny Tharp of Thomasville, GA, Gary Shepard (Michelle) of Kansas, Jimmy Shepard (Pam) of Panama City, FL, Robert Kitchens (Loretta) of Iron City, GA and Mary Kitchens Loyd (David) of Jacksonville, FL; his siblings, David Tharp of Bainbridge, GA, Michael Tharp of Alabama and Mary Blair of Bainbridge, GA; his grandchildren, Amanda, Dena, Daniel, Dee, Matthew, Phillip, Amber and Elizabeth; and his great grandchildren, Titus, Zoe and Liem.
