He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Morey, Sr. and Minnie Bynum Morey; his brothers, Herbert William and Hubert Wendall; his son Walter Steven Morey; and his granddaughter Anna Elizabeth Yeager Parker.
He is survived by: his wife Mavis Blackburn Morey of Baconton; his children, Lisa Yeager of Baconton, Janet Cooke (Ed) of New Enterprise, PA and David B. Morey (Elizabeth) of Albany; his sister Faye Kinard of Signal Mountain, TN; and his grandchildren, Amanda Swain (Jacob), Jennifer Rivera, Ryan Cooke, Christopher Morey, Emily Yeager, Daniel Cooke (Hannah), Lori Berry (Patrick), Lydia Allex (Jason) and Jonathan Morey. He is also survived by fifteen great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
