He is survived by: his wife Mary Lawhorn-Wimberly; his children, Sandra Wimberly-Cooper (Rodney), Douglas Wimberly, Tonya Wimberly, Terrence Wimberly, Melody Wimberly and Jessica Wimberly; his stepson Steve Earnest Lawhorn; his grandchildren, Darius, Terrence, Jr., Jacquez, Saniya, Tristan, Taliyah and Jalen of Christen, R. J.; his siblings, Ruby Wimberly, David Wimberly, R. J. Wimberly (Laura), Willie D. Wimberly, Jamie Wimberly and Horace Wimberly; his siblings-in-law, Sharon Wimberly, Rosa Dudley and David Dudley; his nieces, Gloria McNeil and Brenda Williams; and his nephew Rondy Hicks. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
