He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnny Taft and Catherine Tracy Taft; and his brothers, William, Robert and Colonel Dale Taft.
He is survived by: his daughter Michelle Gurley (Matt) of Pearson. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and several nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 5th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Relihan Funeral Home (164 S Main St, Pearson, GA 31642). A graveside service was held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Axson Cemetery.
