She was predeceased by: her parents, Lois Snider Brassell and Fred Brassell; her husband Joseph David Dixon Sr.; her children, Penny Sammons and Tony Sammons; her grandson Matthew Dixon; and her siblings, Ruby Williford, Joe Brassell, Vera Deason and George "Red" Brassell.
She is survived by: her sons, Teddy Sammons and Joseph D. Dixon Jr. (Pauline) of Warrenton; her grandchildren, Christy Gonzalez (Victor), Tony Sammons Jr. (Stephanie), Teela Floyd (Austin), Joseph D. Dixon III and Emanuel Dixon; and her great grandchildren, Joslyn Garcia, Sebastian Sammons, Brennan Sammons and Violet Floyd. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and a host of other extended family.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the James Funeral Home (630 N Main St, Wrens, GA 30833). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 27th 2025 from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM at the same location.
