It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wendell Elliott Gaillard of Austell, Georgia, born in Tuskegee, Alabama, who passed away on March 7, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his former wife Kay Gaillard; and his sister Carole Watt. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Kay Richardson; his children, Kimberli Whitehead (Tony) and Wendell "Chip" Gaillard III (Nicole); and his grandchildren, Maya, Finn, Chaz and Landry.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, May 18th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Saugahatchee Country Club (3800 Bent Creek Rd, Opelika, AL 36804).
Dr. Gaillard was honored with a legacy award granted by W. Darden Foundation for his significant contributions to Lee County, Alabama and the lives he saved and improved during his medical mission trips.
