She was predeceased by: her parents, I. V. Hale and Lona Hale; her husband Elbert Fortner; and her son Roger Fortner. She is survived by: her son Michael Fortner (Ann); and her grandchildren, Amy Belinfante (Jay), Jason Fortner (Alyssa), Chris Fortner and Matt Fortner. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
