She was predeceased by: her parents, Fletcher David Vaughn and Lillie Bell Vaughn; and her nephew Bubba Rollins. She is survived by: her son Kenneth Wayne Cate Jr.; her daughter-in-law Shannon Lea Cate; her granddaughter Lillian Belle Cate; her sisters-in-law, Nell Vaughn and Pat Vaughn; her nieces and nephews, Robin Vaughn, Ronnie Henderson, Bradford Vaughn (Tina), Sherri Watson (Kenny), Terri Duncan (Dana) and Lindsey "April" Smith (Eric); her great-nieces and great-nephews, William Vaughn (Erin), Kody Watson (McKenna), Isaac Vaughn, Brenton Smith, Andrew Smith, Ashley Montes (Matt), Shauna Vaughan (Brian), Sarah Duncan (Drew), Kristi Culpepper (Chris) and Breley Smith; her cousins, Susan Samples, Mildred Samples, Vic Barrett, Juanita Monroe, Harold Ellis, Sandra Bartlett and Jerry Burns; and also, Penelope, Mia Culpepper, Graham Montes, Landon, Ellie Vaughan, Kaelie, Caroline Cribb, Carolyn Winfield and Regina Boykin.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Davis-Struempf Funeral Home (1975 East-West Connector, Austell, GA 30106). A graveside service will be held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Riverview Memorial Park Cemetery (5411 S Cobb Dr SE, Smyrna, GA 30080).
