He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorsey Smith and Lois Smith; and his former wife Doris Smith. He is survived by: his daughter Tina Fanning of Buchanan; his siblings, Nina Smith Derrick of College Park and Charles R. Smith (Jill) of Gadsden, AL; his grandchildren, Trey, Jason and Daymon; and his pet Lester. He is also survived by three nephews; two nieces.
