He is survived by: his wife Helen Kron Painter; his stepson Phillip Kron; his sons, Brandon and Jeremy Painter of Pottstown, Pennsylvania; his siblings, Judy Hyde (Carroll) of Andrews and Robert Painter (Ha Nguyen) of Wichita, Kansas; and his nephew Eric Aadresen (Crystal). He is also survived by three granddaughters.
