He was predeceased by: his wife Joan Culpepper; his daughter Phyllis Freeman; and his grandson Thomas "Tommy" Freeman. He is survived by: his son Brian Culpepper; his siblings, Patricia Presley and Jimmy; his sister-in-law Shirley Culpepper; and also Ella Claire Tate. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
